All consultations are by appointment only and you can make an
appointment by calling in at the Surgery or by telephoning 01403
753499 during surgery opening hours:
|
Monday - Friday |
8.00am - 6.30pm
|
If your problem is urgent you will be seen on the day of your request by
the Duty Doctor but you may have to wait until the end of surgery if all
the appointments have been filled.
Chaperones
For 'intimate' examinations all patients are entitled to have a
chaperone. Your doctor should offer this service to you, or you may ask.
Home Visits
Terminally ill and very frail patients who are too ill to travel anywhere by car may be visited at home by arrangement. Please request a home visit by telephoning
01403 752246 before 10am so the day can be planned. The Receptionist will ask your name, address and telephone number and the nature of your illness so the degree of urgency can be assessed.
Please note that home visits are not a substitute for personal
transport. Between the hours of 09.30 -11.30 you can call Billingshurst
Community Transport on 01403 787696.
Out of Hours Emergencies
Outside surgery hours GPs and other professionals are available to advise about medical problems that cannot wait until the surgery is next open. Your details will be taken by a trained call-handler and you will be called back by a Doctor or Nurse who may advise you or offer a consultation at an out of hours base in Horsham, Chichester or Worthing. All calls may be recorded.
If you are not sure if your enquiry is urgent or you have a general query, NHSDirect is available on 0845 46 47 and www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk.
To contact the GP service out of hours, dial 0300 130 1313.
